Men's Ministries
Men’s Prayer Breakfast – On the first Saturday of each month, the men of Marsh Corner share a delicious breakfast, personal testimonies and devotions, and opportunities to pray for each other. This is a great place for men to get acquainted!
Men’s Bible Study – Throughout the year, we offer various studies specifically for the men of Marsh Corner. Some of these studies are topically-related, and some are focused on studying specific books in the Bible. Either way, the studies are always geared towards helping you grow in your Christian walk.
Special Events – From time to time, we gather a group of men to attend a Bible conference together…sometimes in the neighborhood…and sometimes it’s a weekend away. Always, it’s a time of learning, growing and fellowship with your brothers of Marsh Corner!
Workshops – Would you like to learn a new skill or hobby? Occasionally, we offer Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Workshops. During these 1-2 hour workshops, tips and techniques are shared to help you learn something new…and spend time fellowshipping too!
You are always welcome to bring a guest to any of our church studies or activities!
In addition, we are currently working on offering many more opportunities for men to connect, learn, grow and mature in their walk with Jesus Christ! More details coming as they are confirmed.
Women's Ministries
Women’s Ministry at Marsh Corner Community Church provides an opportunity for women to be encouraged in their faith, as they seek to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord. Women’s Ministry also seeks to encourage woman-to-woman relationships, including mentoring and outreach which is commanded in Titus 2:3-5. God’s Word is the central focus of all activities and studies.
We believe that God has a purpose for each woman…young, middle-aged, seniors, single, or married and we seek to provide ministries to help women find their God-given purpose, based on His Word.
This ministry includes:
Bible Studies – for targeted life stages, as well as mixed-age studies (which will provide opportunities for mentoring). The ultimate goal of these Bible studies is for women to gain knowledge of God’s Word, and then apply it to their everyday lives.
Moms & Tots – This is a time for mothers and their children (infant through pre-school age) to come together for a time of Bible stories, singing, interactive play, craft, and snack for the kids ~ as well as some much-needed time of fellowship and encouragement for moms of little ones! This group meets on Tuesday mornings.
Mom’s Night Out - During this time, mothers of children (infants through teens) get together to spend a night out in fellowship, sharing some goodies, and chapter review. Each fall, a new book is selected for the group, with a chapter (sometimes two) discussed during each month’s meeting. This is a very casual group/discussion. Friends and visitors are always welcome at any time to join in the discussion (or just take it all in!). This group typically meets the first Thursday of each month.
We break for summer, with a special ‘summer book’ announced at the final spring night out. All women (& their friends) are welcome to participate, as well as join us for the ‘Summer Book Review’, which takes place in August.
Many social events are planned for women of all ages, to encourage women to reach out to family, friends and the community with the goal of reaching the lost for Christ. Women’s Ministry also seeks opportunities for women to serve each other as they discover their God-given gifts.
Senior Ministries
The church has an active ministry for senior citizens called Senior Saints. We meet each month (Sept-June) for luncheons or special outings, enjoy delicious meals, share devotions from God's Word, and pray for one another. Each year a special overnight trip is planned for our fellowship and spiritual encouragement. Our seniors also actively serve one another by helping out at monthly meetings, sending cards, calling, or visiting one another to help encourage.
Deaf Ministries
The purpose of the Marsh Corner Community Church Deaf Ministry is to offer opportunities for the Deaf of the Methuen area (& beyond) to experience worship together in a friendly environment where truths of the Bible are shared. These truths are shared both through classroom teaching and interpreting of regularly-scheduled church services. We welcome you to join us in any of the opportunities listed below.
- Sunday School - taught each Sunday morning from 9:15 – 10:00 a.m. in the Rom 105

Youth Ministries
Youth Group
Our Youth Group (7th grade - 12th grade) is extremely active. Each Sunday morning they meet at 9:00 for Sunday School. They work through interactive lessons in which biblical principles are taught and applied. The youth group also gets together for social events each month, goes on missions trips, leads Sunday evening services, and has a blast living for the Lord as teens.
AWANA
Awana Clubs is a worldwide youth ministry for children in kindergarten through grade 6. Both the ‘Sparkies’ (K-2) and the ‘Truth & Training’ (grades 3-6) groups meet each Wednesday from 6:30-8:10 p.m. during the school year, and involves study lessons, Bible memorization and recreational activities during club time.
We believe that Jesus is the answer to every child’s (& adult’s!) needs, and Awana will help build a biblical foundation that will help your child follow Christ through to adulthood. Awana places an emphasis on Scripture and practical life application. Clubbers are encouraged to develop and deepen their relationship with Jesus. Awana promotes teamwork, goal-setting and character-building. Activities include hiking, swimming, Grand Prix racing (pine box derby) and competing with other area churches in programs such as the Awana Olympics and Bible Quizzing.

Nursery
The nursery department provides care for children from birth to kindergarten.
- Infant nursery room (birth-24 months)
- 2 & 3 year old room
- 4 & 5 year old room
Adults and teens from our church family who have completed a special (children & youth workers) training class staff these rooms. The infant nursery is staffed by two adults, with a third person as a helper. The other two rooms are staffed by two people ~ usually an adult with a teen helper, and sometimes by two adults.
The infant nursery room is equipped with cribs, swings and safe toys for babies to use. We also have the necessary diapers and baby wipes to attend to our babies.
During both Sunday morning services, our 2 & 3 and 4 & 5 year olds spend time listening to a Bible lesson, singing songs and doing a craft, which is usually related to that day’s Bible story.
Snacks are provided that are healthy and delicious for the children and staff, as well as juice or water if desired.
We also offer child care in our nursery room on Sunday evenings during the 6:00 p.m. evening service, where children up to kindergarten age are welcome to attend.
Children’s Church
Children's Church takes place during the second church worship service. During this time, the children gather together for Bible teaching, praying, singing and worshiping together with other children their age. The emphasis of the Children’s Church hour is on worship, while during the Sunday school hour the emphasis is on instruction. This is an interactive, lively and fun time!

What is HomeBuilders?
Too little time?...Too much to do?...Too many commitments…..jobs to perform…careers to plan…diapers to change…children to nurture…spouse’s expectations to satisfy…activities to run to…homework to help with…cleaning to finish – or start…laundry, bills, paper work, meals…???
…then HomeBuilders is a ministry designed especially for you! In this hectic world, it is often hard to find extra time to establish new relationships. Yet, we can draw strength and support from others who may be experiencing similar struggles and life decisions. These relationships can be mutually supporting and very rewarding.
HomeBuilders is a ministry to help young (and not so young) families bring God’s timeless principles into their family relationships. We meet together on Sunday mornings from 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. to fellowship, study God’s Word and discuss practical ways to apply God’s principles to our lives. We also plan social activities (some with children/some without) to help us build friendships and to provide mutual encouragement and support.
One of the resources for building and strengthening families is teamwork. Too many people and too many families try to face the stresses of daily life alone. But by working together, as a team, and by following God’s design for the family, we can overcome the sense of isolation and despair that confronts so many. Join us and participate in this exciting ministry!
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.”
Psalm 127:1

What is New Foundations?
As engaged or recently married couples, we seek to honor God as we explore His Word as it addresses issues related to beginning a new life together as a couple. Our goal is to grow spiritually, relationally, and to build up one another in love. We challenge ourselves and each other not only in what we believe but in why we believe it.
In our Sunday school class we study God’s Word through book studies and grappling with topics aimed at strengthening our walk with the Lord and our marriages. We praise God for the opportunities He provides for us to grow closer to Him by always sharing candidly and openly during our studies. We also enjoy getting together for fellowship and good times at social events that have included: Yankee Christmas swap, Valentine’s dinner, and crazy games!

‘I Promise’
How 5 Commitments Determine the Destiny of Your Marriage
Great marriages are built on a foundation of trust, not behavioral skills.
So not only is a harmonious, long-lasting relationship within every couple’s grasp, but emotional security is the cornerstone
for the relationship you’ve always wanted. That means you don’t have to be a relationship guru to connect deeply
with your spouse after all! You simply need to feel secure in your marriage- and to help your spouse do the same.
Then the best relationship possible will happen naturally.
Creating security is easier than you think. It takes only five simple promises to each other. Promises you can most
certainly make- promises this study will equip you to keep.
In his trademark style, Dr. Gary Smalley delivers a lifetime of information, true experiences, encouragement and
wisdom for anyone who wants their marriage to be not just safe, but the safest place on earth.
This class is geared towards newly-married couples (5 years or less).

What is Essentials?
Are you a new Christian? Have you been a Christian but have been confused about some of the basics tenants of your
faith? Maybe you are not a believer yet but want to know some answers before you take that big step of faith. Come
join us on Sunday mornings as we take this adventure together and get some spiritual nutrients!
What are we studying?
Christian Essentials
Ever been told that the Bible is just a bunch of stories written by old men with beards? That you can lose your
salvation? How about being “filled” with the Spirit? What does THAT mean??? Well, just as plants need certain
essentials to grow - light, water, and fertile soil - so do Christians, especially new ones! Without these essentials - the
basic truths of the faith - they will never establish strong roots or bear fruit.
This class is geared towards those who want to know the essentials of Christianity.

Sunday School (for children - Kindergarten through grade 6)
Our Children’s Sunday school meets each Sunday morning from 9:15 to 10:10a.m. in the Children’s Ministry Center, next door to the church. Children in kindergarten through grade six begin their morning praising the Lord with singing before separating into class rooms by grade.
Each classroom is a cheerful learning environment where a team of two teachers give the children opportunities to learn about God through Bible stories and a variety of activities, games, crafts, skits and Bible verse memorization. Children not only learn about what’s in the Bible, but how it applies to their lives.
During the year we have special events such as puppet shows to teach the children about God’s word in a different format, mission projects so that we can experience the joy of giving to others in need, and in December, a birthday party to celebrate Christ’s birth.
