A Note from the Women's Ministry Team...

Blessings to All,

The Women's Ministry Team is so excited to let you know all that is going to be offered for women of Marsh Corner.  As  a team, we have been  praying and planning in order to provide a wide-range of wonderful  ministries to encourage you to  "grow deep" in your relationship with the Lord!

Our theme this year will be

"Walking with the Lord"

In Colosians 1:10,  God's Word says,

"so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,

to please Him in all respects,

bearing fruit in every good work,

and increasing in the knowledge of God."

It is our deepest desire that you will discover, in a new way what "Walking with the Lord"  truly means in all areas of your life.

May the Lord be glorified as we seek to "grow deep" in our walk with Him!

Women's Bible Studies

This fall, the women will be doing a Bible Study entitled "Come Walk with Me" by Carole Mayhall.  Join us, as we use this                  as a practical guide for knowing Christ intimately.

This study will cover topics such as:

                    .  the importance of Christ

                    .  the importance of His Word

                    .  ways to absorb God's Word, and

                    .  prayer

We will learn various ways to study the Bible and commit ourselves to being women of prayer. This is an excellent study ~  and we  encourage you to "come, walk with us!"

Two sessions will be offered each Tuesday, beginning September 18th ~ and ending December 4th:

9:30 to 11:00 am

in the Ministry Center

Led by Lois Frasier

and

7:00 to 8:30 pm

in room 104

Led by Shirley Ripley

Both sessions will begin & end promptly.

We are looking forward to the blessing of this study! Won't you join us?  Registration will take place, Sunday, September 9th  & 16th. The cost of the book and materials is $15.

Mom's Night Out

Moms ~ Are you expressing your love in a way your child understands?

In their book, "The Five Love Languages of Children," Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell help you discover your child's unique  communication style, so you can better meet his or her deepest emotional needs.  From quality time to physical touch, these five "love  languages" hold the key to your child's development and success.

Join us for this season's study Thursday nights beginning, October 4th at 7:00 pm.  We will meet in the Ministry Center (yellow  house) for some time of fellowship & refreshment, followed by book discussion and prayer.  There will be a $13 fee to cover the cost  of the book.  Please see Melissa Bowman regarding questions, or to purchase a book in advance.  Moms with children, any age, are  welcome!

                                                   Moms & Tots ...is Back!

Are you a mother of young children (infant thru pre-school age)?  Our Moms & Tots Ministry is  just for you then!

We will meet each Tuesday,beginning September 18^th from 10-11:30 am.  We'll start our time together in Fellowship Hall where  the children will hear Bible stories and sing songs, then we'll move down to the nursery area for craft time, snacks and some free-play time with other children.

This will be a great time for the kids to get out, have some fun ~ and burn off some energy!  Moms will enjoy watching their little ones  having fun and, you'll have some time to fellowship with other moms!

So come on, join us!...and don't forget to bring a friend.  This is a wonderful outreach opportunity for local moms in the Marsh Corner  community to fellowship and hear God's word.

Women's Breakfast Fellowship

Do you love to fellowship and 'connect' with other women of Marsh Corner, but you can't always commit to a weekly study?   Well then, the Women's Fellowship Breakfast may be just the thing for you!  We meet one Saturday a month for breakfast!

During this time we will worship the Lord in song, enjoy delicious brunch food, listen to and be encouraged by the testimonies and  stories of fellow Christian women ~ and of course, fellowship together!

We would love to have you join us for our first breakfast, where our theme will be

"Walking with the Lord"

Saturday, September 8th

9-10:30 am ~ Room 107

If you are able, please bring a brunch-type food to share at the fellowship.  If you are not able to ~ please join us anyway!              We would  also ask that you sign up on the Women's Ministry bulletin board in the main foyer, directly outside the sanctuary.               In the meantime, please make a note of the upcoming fellowship dates ~ and be sure to join us!

Women's Christmas Event!

This December, we will have the pleasure of hosting Cindy Conley as our featured speaker for the 2007  Christmas event!  We are so  looking forward to catching up with Cindy ~ and we'll have the added blessing of enjoying the musical talents of Mike Conley  during the event as well!  What an extra-special time this will be!  So please, mark your calendar for:
