Why DO we have church, anyway?

I. Bring people to Jesus and membership in His family

 

1. witness!

 

                2. scattered around the world

 

 

      ð the Lord added daily those who were being saved!

                     …devoted:

 

                1. devoted themselves to fellowship – 42

 

                2. devoted themselves to eating! – 42

 

                3. devoted themselves to prayer – 42

 

4. devoted to each other– 44-45

 

II. Develop them to Christlike maturity

 

1.       baptism – 38, 41

 

2. devoted themselves to teaching – 42

 

 

III. Equip them for their service in the church

 

 

Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that no of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. – Hebrews 3:13

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching. – Hebrews 10:25

 

IV. Worship God.

 

 

How beautiful is the Body of Christ!
