  Ecclesiastes 5:10-15 – The Treasure Principle

You can’t take your treasure with you…

 

 

In heaven, we’ll:

 

  - reigning with Christ – Revelation 20:6

 

  - be put in charge of many things – Mat 25:21-23

 

  - have different crowns (5)

 

  - command angels – I Corinthians 6:3

 

God is keeping track of all we do… to the smallest thing

 

            …including our giving

 

Luke 14:12-14 –

 

Your heart goes where your money goes…

 

 

SO… WHY is it so hard to give, knowing the rewards??

 

We fail to understand that…

 

1. “Heaven is my home.”

 

   - Hebrews 11:13, 16

   - II Corinthians 5:20

   - Philippians 3:20

2. “Things enslave me.”

 

 

 

 

3. “I’m chasing the wind.”

 

   - Ecclesiastes 5:10-15

 

 

 

 

 

   10 – the more you have the more you want and the less you’re satisfied

 

   11 – the more you have, the more others will want and the more you’ll realize it does no good

 

   12 – the more you have the more you worry about

 

   13 – the more you have the more harm can come to you

 

   14 – the more you have the more you have to lose

 

   15 – the more you have the more you’ll leave behind

 

…let’s just trust the wisdom set forth in God’s Word…
