Five Christian Certainties

 

1. Jesus is God - 6-10

 

    Three witnesses:  

     a. the water  – Matthew 3:13-17

 

     b. the blood  – John 12:28

 

     c. the Spirit (of truth)  – Romans 8:15-16

 

 

            ð Is Jesus God  in my life?

 

 

2. Believers  have eternal life - 11-13

 

     - FROM and IN - 5:11

 

            ð Do I have / Do I live like I have eternal life?

 

3. God answers  prayer - 14-15

 

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. - Mark 11:24

     - “according to His will”

     - “we know” vs “we might”

 

            ð Does God answer  my prayer?

 

 

4. Christians do not practice sin - 16-19

           

         Three enemies for the Christian:

            a. the world      b. the flesh      c. the devil

 

    “Sin unto death”...

       - Nadab / Abihu...

       - Achan…

       - Ananias / Sapphira…

 

 

            ð What does my lifestyle look like?
