A. Slaves – 1-2

 

“The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles

B. False Teachers… – 3-5

     …lacks understanding

 

     …morbid interest in controversial issues

 

     …evil in speech and attitudes

 

 

š these attitudes/actions go against God’s character!

 

C. Money… – 6-10

 

  - key: contentment!

         (inner peace regardless of outside circumstances)

 

 

      …worry / greed is the antithesis of contentment!

- Mathew 6:25-32 - Job 1:21 –

“If godliness is not your goal, you will never be content.”

 

  - progression: wanting to get rich:

 

   1. temptation/snare

 

 

   2. foolish/harmful desires

 

 

   3. ruin/destruction

 

 

 

Our God owns the cattle on a thousand hills…

He also owns the hills!!
